Playstation VR price hint by Sony

PlayStation VR (formally known as Project Morpheus) will be priced as a new gaming platform, Sony’s Andrew House has said.

While declining to provide definitive numbers, this suggests that Sony is planning to price PlayStation VR similarly to consoles, so expect it to be somewhere around the £300 mark (although we’re hoping it’ll be south of that).

We’re not sure that kind of price is going to be cheap enough to sell the volume of units Sony needs to in order to make VR a success on PS4, but we’ll have to wait and see exactly what Sony plans to do with pricing and how PS4 owners respond.
